Environment check 環境勘察 wind · sun · terrain
The measurable side of a site: wind by month (NASA satellite reanalysis), sun by month (computed locally by our own kernel), and terrain (the skyline tool). Classical judgments like 藏风聚气 are school-specific interpretations — this page gives you the numbers and their limits, honestly layered.
Advanced: type coordinates 手動輸入經緯度
Quick picks:
🌬️ Wind, month by month 逐月風況
Bars: monthly mean wind speed (m/s). Labels: prevailing direction the wind blows from.
Data & limits 數據與局限
🌧️ Rain, month by month 逐月降水
Bars: monthly-mean daily precipitation (mm/day, corrected gauge). Wet-day frequency needs daily statistics — not in the free monthly layer.
☀️ Sun, month by month 逐月日照
Bars: the sun's highest elevation each month (noon, computed locally in your browser by the same kernel as the solar compass — VSOP87 + nutation + ΔT).
💧 Water nearby 鄰近水系 (OSM)
Nearest mapped water bodies within 2 km (centre lines). © OpenStreetMap contributors — completeness varies by region (culverted streams may be missing). Jade-belt / reverse-bow judgments are deliberately not computed: they need curvature analysis plus a measured sitting direction.
⛰️ Terrain, the third dimension
The mountain/skyline side of the site: open this location in the terrain tool (360° skyline + white-tiger check), or see it applied to public buildings in the landmark cases.
Honest boundaries
- Monthly climatology, not a wind rose: the free NASA POWER layer gives vector-averaged monthly means, not a 16-sector frequency distribution — the full 「藏风聚气」 data face needs hourly statistics (later work).
- Reanalysis grid ≈ 50 km: this is the regional climate, not your street corner; an on-site anemometer always beats a grid value.
- Every source, figure and limit in one place: the environment methodology page documents all four dimensions and what we refuse to compute.
- Facts layer ≠ judgment layer: traditional judgments are school-specific interpretations on top of these numbers; nothing on this page predicts fortune or comfort.
