Two inputs and a button — your Ming Gua 命卦, East/West group, and the four favourable directions of the Eight Mansions school, computed locally by the same astronomical kernel as the full calculator. Add your full birth date if you were born in January or February: the Kua year switches at the exact Lichun instant, not the calendar year.

What the card means

• Kua number & trigram: your personal trigram in the Eight Mansions school (八宅命卦), from birth year + gender.
• East / West group 东西四命: which set of directions is classified favourable for you in this school.
• Four favourable directions 四吉方: 生气 (growth) · 天医 (health) · 延年 (longevity) · 伏位 (stability) — school-specific labels, not our prediction of outcomes.

Honest boundaries

• Lichun boundary, computed not guessed: the year for the Kua formula switches at the exact Lichun instant (early February, varying by year) — the engine computes it astronomically. Year-only input assumes mid-year and the card says so.
• No predictions: favourable directions are a traditional classification. Cultural and educational use — not advice about health, wealth or relationships.
