Classical Texts Register 典籍總表 28 titles
Twenty-eight fengshui (kanyu 堪輿) texts, collated for attribution, era, content and school affiliation — including the ones tradition gets wrong about its own authors.
Opened 2026-10-10 · first-hand basis: 《欽定四庫全書總目》 Siku Quanshu Zongmu (Imperial Catalogue), vols. 109–111 · every claim below comes from our collation register; nothing is added from memory.
attributed_author (the author tradition assigns) and attribution_status (what the collation actually supports: original work 原著, pseudo-epigraphic 偽托, doubtful 存疑, or falsely ascribed 托名). We never write "Guo Pu wrote the Zangshu": the Siku cataloguers examined that claim in 卷109 and concluded the received 《葬書》 is a Song-era composition attributed to him. Where a verdict exists in the catalogue, we quote it; where none is recorded in our register, we say so rather than invent one.
How to read the badges
| Badge | attribution_status | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| original 原著 | original / securely ascribed | Authorship (or imperial compilation) is attested without a competing verdict in our register. |
| doubtful 存疑 | doubtful | Attribution cannot be settled — e.g. the catalogue says a text "only surfaces in the Song" 「至宋始出」, or the attributed author's dates are unverified. |
| falsely ascribed 偽托/托名 | pseudo-epigraphic / falsely ascribed | The catalogue (or the collation) explicitly judges the attribution spurious — e.g. 「是書蓋依托也」. |
Doubt and spuriousness are different verdicts and are never merged. doubtful means "unresolved"; falsely ascribed means "resolved, against the attribution".
